Colin Hay 9/9/2012, a photo by Dan Russell-Pinson on Flickr. I was lucky enough to see Colin Hay two years in a row at the McGlohon Theatre. I think he spent more time speaking in between songs than he actually spent playing them. His stories were so engaging that we still wanted to hear more.

Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters – 9/5/2012, a photo by Dan Russell-Pinson on Flickr. The Foo Fighter’s Rock the Vote show in Charlotte was one for the record books. They played almost 3.5 hours (reportedly their longest show ever) and performed 35 songs including 15 encores!
