Night Photography - My First Attempts
POSTED: 6/17/2008 4:25:03 PM | PERMALINK

I've started to develop a big interest in night photography. After reading as much about it as possible, I've made several excursions into the night to see what I could do. Below are the best images from these early attempts.

Taking pictures in the dark makes you approach photography in a different way. It can be difficult to compose your shot because you can barely see what your shooting. Also, you almost always have to manually focus.

I find night photography to be very relaxing so far. Since exposures can last up to five minutes long (or more), I'm forced to slow down and pay more attention to my surroundings in a way that I never would otherwise.

Set in a lush jungle environment, chapter three contains more puzzles and mysteries to figure out. During this time, you also meet Tommy who summoned you on the adventure at the beginning of the game. Learn more about why you were brought to the island and what you have to do next.

Chapter 3 features original music, dialogue, many more puzzles than chapter 2 and even an Easter Egg.

After only 44 hours of being released, the game has been loaded 48,794 times and has been completed almost 4,000 times.

So far, I received emails from Canada, Italy, Poland, Germany, UK, Poland, Japan, Austria and China.

Atheism and Morality - UNC Charlotte 2/20/2008
POSTED: 2/21/2008 3:32:03 PM | PERMALINK

I gave a one hour presentation entitled "Atheism and Morality" last night at UNC Charlotte to an audience of about 42 people. It went pretty well despite not being able to show my PowerPoint slides due to technical problems. The audience participated throughout and asked plenty of good questions at the end. I received some very positive comments afterwards as well as even more questions.
